NEW DELHI: The Prime Minister of India wrote to the family who died at the PGMIER hospital due to the security issues. The Prime Minister manifested remorse over the death of the man. The circumstances which held was unfortunate which caused the death said prime minister.
In a letter to the wife, he said “I am writing to you to express my profound sense of sadness at the death of your husband Shri Sumit Verma Yesterday”. The patient was unable to access on time to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research because of the restriction to enter the hospital as he was visiting, he said “this is something I deeply feel remorseful”.”I have also issued instructions so that in future no other patient face the same circumstances and also the authorities should be more concerned about the common man other than us ” the Prime Minister said.
Sumit Prakash Verma, 32, died on Tuesday as the vehicle carrying him to the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh was not allowed to enter the emergency area in time for treatment, his relatives alleged as The Prime Minister was visiting the hospital for its 30th convocation.
Sumit was suffering from a major kidney ailment and had breathing trouble, claimed that their vehicle which had come from Ambala, 45 km from Chandigarh, was stopped at different gates of the institute by security men, leaded to Sumit’s death .Sumit has two children and a wife
Afet the death pmo asked for the report from PGMIER hospital on the incident. The hospital, however, said that no one had been stopped from entering the premises. On Wednesday, his family demanded that should be given compensation and also a job to a kin as sumit was the only man who was working in the family and his death is caudes due to Prime minister Security issues.
