
As the swine flu epidemic was not yet ended another disease has hit the floor. 489 dengue cases have been recorded in New Delhi. Now it’s time for the people to get ready to be infected as the breeding dengue has infected 489 people which also caused two deaths which includes 15 and 9 year old boy.
The blame game is full on as everyone is poking nose on each other doing’s and not caring about his. The MCD attributed the rise of dengue due to stagnant water collected because of the Common Wealth Games as it is in the process of construction and water storage are left open at various construction sites.
Another state is also been affected by the dengue which Tarsail “a city of Vadodra” Leader of opposition Chirag Zaveri said it had come to his notice that drainage water is being let into open storm water drains in the area. This eventually gathers in Tarsali pond leading to a mosquito menace in the locality. He added there were serious problems with the garbage disposal system as well.
He demanded the Vadodra Municipal Corporation must come up with advertisements asking private hospitals to inform its health department if they come across any dengue or H1N1 case but VMC official said that they are not been reported any case of dengue. While Zaveri said dengue patients are getting a treatment at Akruti Hospital and Vinayak Hospital in locality.
The Delhi government has also taken steps to contain dengue fever. Delhi government Health Minister Kiran Walia announced Dr Charan Singh as the ‘State Nodal Officer’ to tackle the spread of dengue fever in the capital. Details of dengue cases from private and public cases will be given to the state nodal officer,” said Walia, adding that health authorities are also been asked to take corrective measures to prevent, cure and control the disease.
Symptoms of dengue usually start within 5 to 6 days after a person has been bitten by an infected mosquito. Some common symptoms are: High fever which may reach to 105degrees Fahrenheit, Severe headache, Pain behind the eye, Severe joint pain, Severe muscle pain, Nausea. The rash may appear over most of the body 3 to 4 days after the fever begins, Vomiting. People contract dengue fever from the bite of an infected Aedes mosquito. A doctor can diagnose dengue fever by performing a blood test.
